How to Add Pictures to a Post

One way to keep readers engaged with a blog is to make your posts visually interesting. Today we'll be looking at how to add and edit pictures in Blogger. To add a picture, first place your cursor wherever you want the picture to appear. Then click the Picture icon in the toolbar. (It's the one that looks like a Polaroid.) When the "Add Images" window pops up, click " Choose files ." This will take you to your Pictures library. From here, navigate to the picture you want to add and double click its thumbnail. The selected picture will appear in the "Add Images" window. Now click the image(s) you want to insert and click " Add selected " in the bottom left corner. How to Create Posts

So you've set up your Blogger account and created your blog. You've chosen a layout and your preferred settings. Now you're ready to create your first post. Go to the Blogger dashboard and click "New Post." That will open the Post interface. For now, there are four parts of the interface you should note. 1. The Title Text Box At the top of the page, you'll notice a text box that says "Post title." Click in the text box and type the title of your post. When you publish the post to the Web, the title will appear above the main body of the post. 2. The Formatting Toolbar Below the title text box, you'll notice a toolbar with various formatting commands. We'll go over some of these tools in a future post. 3. How to Change Basic Settings on Blogger

Depending on what your goal for your blog is, you may want to set things up in different ways. You may want your blog to be public, or you may want it to be private. You may want to be the sole author, or you may want to share blog access with a co-author. You may want to tweak the blog title, description, or address. All of these things can be accomplished in the Settings tab. Go to your Blogger dashboard. Click the Settings tab. Then click " Basic ." Here you will see a few different categories. The first is Basic , with options for editing your blog's title, description, and privacy. Click the " Edit " link to make your selections for each option. In the case of Title and Description, the "Edit" link will open a text box where you can type your desired title or description. In the case of Privacy, you will see radio fill buttons. Choosing Your Blog Layout

Once you've set up your blog, it's time to choose your blog layout. Go to your Blogger dashboard. Look at the left side of the screen. You should see a list of tabs. Click on the one that says "Layout." That will take you here to the Layout tab. (Yours might look a little different depending on what theme you picked.) In the Layout tab, you can add different features to your blog. See the little icons of pencils? Those are the Edit buttons .
