Welcome to blogging!

Thanks for stopping by! On this blog, we will be discussing a variety of technological topics. First up: how to use Blogger.

Whether you want to explore ideas you're passionate about with others who share your interests, showcase your professional achievements, or just post photos for family and friends to enjoy, blogs can be a great way to communicate with an online audience.

You'll need a Google account to use Blogger, so make sure you have one before you begin. If you don't, you will be prompted to create one.

First, go to blogger.com. Click "Create Your Blog" to start a new blog.

At this point you will be prompted to sign into your Google account. If you don't have one, click "More options" to create one.

Once you have signed into your Google account, click "Create New Blog."

The "Create a new blog" window will pop up. Now you can give your blog a title, a URL (i.e., the web address for the blog), and a theme. You can change the theme later if you want, so don't sweat your decision too much. Also note that ".blogspot.com" will be added to your address automatically.

When you've chosen a title, address, and theme, click "Create blog!" at the bottom of the window.

You will then have the option to find a domain name for your blog.

Remember how I said that ".blogspot.com" will be added to your address automatically? If you're okay with that, you can just click "No thanks" and continue on to your blog dashboard. However, if you want to take ".blogspot" out of your address, you can do so for a fee.

After you've chosen a domain name (or declined to do so), you will arrive at your Blogger dashboard.

Congratulations! Your blog is up and waiting for you to create your first post.
